There’s a lot more that the Progressives Against Obama group is protesting in Obama’s campaign than just FISA. There’s Barack Obama’s weakening position on ending the American occupation of Iraq, for one thing. Then there’s the Obama plan to expand Bush’s corrupt faith-based religious patronage program. Barack Obama has a bit of a problem with homophobia as well, opposing full equal marriage rights and using homophobic preachers like Donnie McClurkin. Then there’s the pro-death-penalty, pro-gun nonsense coming from the Obama campaign.

It seems that anti-Obama preacher Loren Davis has said that 5 pointed stars are symbols of Satan. Guess which campaign has a 5 pointed star as the central element of its candidate’s logo? It isn’t Barack Obama. It’s John McCain.

it would be a mistake for you to go and buy a foreign-made sweatshop shirt supporting Barack Obama. Buy an Obama Shirt from Skreened instead. The shirts on Skreened are all made in the USA by American Apparel, and sold and shipped from Columbus, Ohio.

Mind you, I don’t think that all these questions would be appropriate - the question about religion, and the question about extramarital affairs. Still, given that Barack Obama has had to endure of this sort of question, it’s valid to question why the news media has refused to give John McCain the same kind of scrutiny. Thanks to Perrspective for pointing that out.

A couple days ago, I wrote about a collection of political gear all with the theme of Yuckabee, expressing revulsion at the idea of Mike Huckabee becoming President of the United States in 2008. Well, it turns out that that collection of campaign gear against Huckabee is related to a new web site that […]

Yuckabee is a simple expression of the revulsion provoked among sane Americans when facing Mike Huckabee’s crude extremism. Think of it this way: Yuckabee is that nauseous feeling you get whenever you hear Mike Huckabee speak. You’ve always known the feeling. Now you know the name for it.

Many people pick a personality, and then attach themselves to reasons they can invent for why to support that leader, adjusting their understanding of the facts as it suits their candidate. It’s more like rooting for a sports team than politics. The Progressive Patriots aren’t going that way. They’re identifying the attributes of the ideal candidate first, and then using those criteria to identify who’s worthy of support.

This year, America was shamed by the disclosure that clothes at Gap Kids had been made by children in India working in conditions that were essentially equivalent to slavery. As a result, many Americans have sworn not to buy any clothes made in sweatshops outside of the United States.
For them, there is […]

Who among the candidates for President is taking the global warming issue seriously? Certainly not the Republicans. The Democrats are not giving the climate crisis the attention it deserves either, though. They’ve relegated it to the second tier of issues. That’s why I’m seriously reconsidering whether to give Al Gore my support in 2008.

West Virginia for Obama web site is not directly affiliated with the Barack Obama for President campaign, and is not a political action committee devoted to fundraising. WV for Obama appears to be an earnest, genuine group of grassroots activists devoted to helping their candidate of choice. Lovely.
