USFORRUSS is short for Universal System FOR Registering Unconventionally Sagacious Sources.
In other words, this site is intended to become a directory for collecting and displaying sources of forms of wisdom that don’t fit the standard model, wherever they are found.
A couple of other models were attempted before this one, including support for a campaign by Russ Feingold for President and a set of urgent scribbles.
The project of the registry of unconventional sagacity was begun at the end of March, 2007.
