The Democratic Party’s leaders have abandoned liberal ideals in an attempt to gain favor by co-opting aspects of the right wing’s pro-war, pro-corporate, anti-Constitution agenda. So, it’s up to the liberal grassroots to promote what we believe in – liberty, justice, equality, peace, citizenship and an economy that’s strong for all people.
One of the best ways we have to spread the word is through genuine grassroots campaigning – and through liberal campaign gear. Buttons, bumper stickers, tshirts, posters, lawn signs and other items allow us to spread the word of liberal idealism even though we can’t afford to buy commercials on television.
This blog examines those pieces of liberal campaign gear that people are using to counter the corporate vision of the USA as nothing more than a nation of consumers.
