You know when Republicans talk about how their tax cuts for wealthy Americans are going to create jobs? They’re talking about supply side economics, or what is informally described as trickle-down economics.
When trickle-down economics works the way it’s supposed to, millionaires and billionaires are given a lot of money, and then, when the rich buy luxurious toys for themselves, the rest of us get the benefit of having the opportunity to work for the elites’ pleasure, catching what little trickles of money that we can.
Yes, that’s what it looks like when trickle down economics works! When it doesn’t work, which is almost all of the time, trickle down economics looks like the rich getting richer, and the rest of us working harder and harder while making due with less and less.
Justified outrage at this arrogant economic theory is what inspired this bumper sticker. I’m tired of being trickled on. No more tax cuts for billionaires.
