Sources of Unconventional Sagacity

I have to admit that there’s something about Ed Begley Jr. that sets me on edge. Maybe it’s the fact that he seems culturally isolated from the rest of America, living in an elite circle of California entertainment workers.

I say this, however, as a committed environmentalist who is trying to do better for Planet Earth in his everyday life. So, I’m giving a link today to Fixing the Planet, Ed Begley’s environmental web site, not because it’s Earth Day, but just because, in spite of his over-earnest personal affect, darn it, Ed Begley is right.

We all can make choices to do better for the world’s ecological integrity. We don’t have to consume our way into a pile of filthy garbage. We can be wiser.

Maybe Fixing the Planet is a bit of an over-reach in concept, but it’s better to reach too high than to sink low through complacency.
